Engine oil must be changed every 10 000 km of run. In new cars the oil must be changed after the end of the running-in period (after 2500 km). When changing the oil it is mandatory to install a new oil filter (engine ZMZ-4062) or its filter element (all engines). It is recommended to fill the engine crankcase with the same brand of oil that was in the engine. If another brand of oil is filled, you must first flush the engine lubrication system with the oil of the brand to be filled in the engine. To do this, drain the old oil, pour in new oil 2-4 mm above the mark “0” on the indicator (dipstick) of the oil level. Start the engine and let it idle for about 10 minutes. Then drain the oil, replace the oil filter or its filter element and pour in fresh oil. And bad cars should be turned in to companies that specialize in scrap car mississauga.
The coolant should be changed every 2 years or after 60,000 km of mileage (whichever comes first). Note that the coolant is poisonous, so do not suck it in with your mouth when pouring it in. When handling the coolant it is recommended that you wear safety glasses, do not smoke and do not eat. If the coolant comes into contact with exposed skin, wash with soap and water.
The oil in the gearbox should be changed after 60,000 km of mileage. See Sections 3.3.2 and 3.4.2 for oil change procedures. Check the gearbox oil level every 20,000 km and top up if necessary. The oil level in the crankcase must reach to the edge of the filler hole. If there are metal particles in the drained oil or it is very dirty, the box should be flushed. For this purpose pour 0.9 l of fresh oil into the crankcase. Raise the rear of the car with a jack. Start the engine, engage first gear and let it run for 2-3 minutes. Then drain the oil and pour in fresh oil. When checking the oil level clean the breather plug from dirt and turn the cap a few times to remove dirt that got under it.
Oil in the crankcase rear axle should be changed after 60 000 km mileage. The oil is changed in the same way as in the gearbox. Check the oil level in the crankcase after 20,000 km and top up if necessary. The oil level should reach to the edge of the filler opening. When checking the oil level, the breather plug must be cleaned of dirt in the same way as in the gearbox.
Do not reuse drained brake fluid.
Brake fluid in clutch and brake actuators should be changed every 2 years regardless of mileage. Clutch and brake actuators use domestically produced brake fluids “Rosa”, “Rosa-3”, “Tom”, “Neva” or their foreign analogues on a non-petroleum base, with a quality level no lower than DOT-3. The use of fluids of other brands, especially fluids on the petroleum basis, is prohibited.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, so it must not be stored in open containers.
The procedure for replacing the brake fluid is as follows:
- Remove the cap of the brake master cylinder reservoir.
- Remove the rubber protective caps from the air release valves on the wheel cylinders and put on the valves of rubber hoses, the ends of which are dropped into glass vessels.
- unscrew the valves not more than one turn and, pushing on the brake pedal to the stop, drain the fluid. As the fluid stops flowing from the hoses, tighten the bleeder valves.
- Pour the drained brake fluid out of the vessels and put them back in place.
- Pour fresh fluid into the master cylinder reservoir, unscrew all the air release valves one turn and, pushing on the brake pedal to the stop, fill the brake system. At the same time you need to constantly refill the liquid in the master cylinder tank. After the clean brake fluid will flow from the hoses attached to the air release valves, tighten the valves.
- Purge the brake system to remove air from it (see subsection 6.9).
- Close the plug on the brake master cylinder reservoir. Remove the hoses from the air release valves and put on their protective caps.
Replace the fluid in the hydraulic clutch actuator in the same way.
